TopMath: Elite study programme mathematics with doctoral degree

TopMath is a doctoral programme offered by the department of mathematics at the technical university of munich, in which the Institute of Mathematics at Augsburg University is a partner.

General information on the elite degree programme can be found in Munich, while special regulations for TopMath students in Augsburg can be found here (last revised 30.03.2011).

The main phase of the TopMath programme (2nd-4th year) is completed in Munich within a doctoral programme. You can also complete many of the required achievements at the Augsburg University and earn your doctorate here. You will be supervised by one of the professors mentioned below (but other professors can also act as supervisors upon request). For information on how to apply in Augsburg, please contact Prof. Schmidt personally or one of the other mathematicians involved in Augsburg.
