Angular dependent photoluminescence (ADPL) to determine emitter orientation in organic thin films was pioneered by the Organic Semiconductors group many years ago. A home-built setup allows to choose between different excitation sources and is equipped with a liquid-nitrogen-cooled CCD spectrometer for sensitive detection of the PL spectra. Additionally, a Fluxim PHELOS (Photo- and Electroluminescence Goniometer for Organic Semiconductors) system is installed in our Glovebox for organic semiconductors and allows quick angular and spectral characterization of air-sensitive samples by photo- and electroluminescence measurements.
