Am 26. April 2024 wurde Prof. Dr. Angela Oels zur neuen Vorsitzenden des Deutschen Klima-Konsortium e.V. (DKK) gew?hlt. Das DKK agiert seit 2008 als unabh?ngige und freie Selbstorganisation der wesentlichen Wissenschaftseinrichtungen der Klimaforschung und Klimafolgenforschung. Angela Oels ist Lehrstuhlinhaberin Politikwissenschaft mit Schwerpunkt Klimapolitik.

Die Ringvorlesung der Law Clinic der Universit?t Augsburg widmet sich im Mai und Juni aktuellen Fragen aus dem Migrationsrecht: Am 6. und 27. Mai sowie am 12. Juni, jeweils um 18 Uhr, referieren an der Juristischen Fakult?t Fachleute aus unterschiedlichen Bereichen unter anderem zur sozialen und rechtlichen Situation von Gefl¨¹chteten sowie zur demokratischen Integration in der Einwanderungsgesellschaft.

How life began: A molecular perspective

Since the beginning of April, an interdisciplinary Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) has been researching the first molecular steps that led to the development of life on Earth. The large-scale project based at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit?t in Munich (LMU) in cooperation with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is funded to the tune of €2 million by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The Institute of Physics at the University of Augsburg is also involved through a sub-project.
