Dr. Sergi Morales-Gálvez
Beginning on January 9, 2023, Dr. Sergi Morales-Gálvez will start a two-month research stay in the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences at the University of Augsburg.
Prof. Dr. Daniel Bellingradt
Daniel Bellingradt is a historian and a book and communication scholar. He is currently a visiting professor at the Institute for European Cultural History at the University of Augsburg since October 2022. He has previously held professorships in Erlangen, Mainz and Munich.
Jane Edwards
Jane Edwards will be a lecturer in the Master's program as well as a supervisor and consultant in research projects, contributing her expertise, especially in Qualitative Research Methods and Music Therapy in Medical Applications. On Oct. 20, 2022, at 7 p.m., she will give a public lecture, "Music and Medicine," in the concert hall of the Leopold Mozart Center.

From June 1, Prof. Dr. Maiia Dernova will be employed for six months period at the University of Augsburg for the Chair of Adult and Continuing Education.

Biography
Siga Diouf began her studies at the University of Augsburg in October 2021 and is supported by the DAAD. She is pursuing her PhD in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences' program "Educational Science."
In her doctorate, Siga Diouf researches the role of vocational training in developing cooperation between Germany and Senegal. The working title of the doctorate is: "Ownership or Donorship? Results and Ownership in German and Senegalese Development Cooperation: A Case Study on TVET in Senegal". Siga Diouf has previously worked as a German teacher in Senegal and is a Development Cooperation graduate from Ewha Woman's University in South Korea.

Biography
Agata Maksymczak-Tretter lives between Munich and Krakow and combines a philosophical with a medical activity. She was born in Poland in 1985 and studied medicine and philosophy in Munich. In addition to her work at the Clinic for Forensic Psychiatry in Haar near Munich, she is completing her doctorate in philosophy with Prof. Dr. Uwe Voigt (University of Augsburg) and with Prof. Huber (Jagiellonian University) with a thesis on a contemporary concept of nature. The Hanns-Seidel Foundation supported her from 2016 to 2020.

Aliya Narbekova is doing her Ph.D. in the program "Educational Science" within the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences. In her Ph.D., Aliya Narbekova researches "Higher education politics in Central Asia: the development in Kazakhstan between 1991-2021." Aliya Narbekova graduated from the Master's program in Social Sciences (M.A.) offered jointly by the Middle East Technical University in Ankara and Humboldt-Universit?t in Berlin and from the Bachelor's program in International Relations (B.A.) at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Kazakhstan. She had several years of professional experience in business and education before joining DZHW in 2021.

Doctoral studies within the program empirical educational research of the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences. From 2003 to 2009, she completed a bilingual degree in social sciences at the University of Freiburg in ?echtland. From 2009 to 2010, Schwarz was a university intern at the Swiss Army Academy at ETH Zurich. From 2011 to 2016, she was a graduate assistant at the University of Lausanne. Schwarz has been a doctoral student at the University of Lausanne since 2011 and the University of Augsburg since 2013 as part of a double doctorate. (Thesis topic: "Visualizations as discursive objects of dispute") Since 2017 she has been a research associate at the Institute for Applied Media Studies at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences with a research focus on "Applied Discourse Research."

Biography
Alexander Ten was born in Almaty. After completing his Bachelor's degree in history and his Master's degree in Central Asian regional studies (Kazakhstan), he completed doctoral studies in sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences at the University of Augsburg. His doctoral dissertation examines public debates about Kazakh and Russian in the former Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan from a sociological discourse analysis perspective. Since 2018, Alexander Ten has been a research assistant at the Faculty of World Politics at the German-Kazakh University in teaching and research.?. ?

Biography
Tran has been a Ph.D. student in sociology at the University of Augsburg since 2021. Before that, she completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in sociology at Ho Chi Minh City Open University and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNUHCM, Vietnam.
She was passionate about education and worked at IRED Institute of Education in Vietnam for five years. She has been involved in several research projects in general education, career choice and guidance, and youth development in Vietnam. Currently, educational equity is her research focus in the doctoral program.

Biography
Since October 2021, Rahel Zelalem Tsegaye has been doing her Ph.D. in the program "Educational Science" at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Augsburg University. Rahel Zelalem's dissertation research is on "Pursuing the Road of Lifelong Learning in the Journey of Educational Success: A Comparative Study of the Educational Biographies of Women in Leading Positions in Ethiopia and Germany." Rahel Zelalem graduated from Addis Ababa University with a Master's degree in Adult Education and Community Development and a Bachelor's degree in English from the Kotebe University of Education in Ethiopia. In 2010, Alpha University College awarded her a Certificate of Academic Excellence; in October 2020, DAAD awarded her a doctoral fellowship. She also has experience in supporting national and international research projects of Help Age International with CLC Technical and Advisory, South Africa. She gained experience in consulting and teaching life skills courses to young community groups (youth) working to improve living conditions in the region through volunteer services.
