About me
In my new position as a PhD fellow at the Chair of Environmental Economics at the Centre of Climate Resilience, I can take advantage of my educational background, which includes studies in economics, business administration, political science and philosophy in Italy, Denmark and the USA. Before coming to Augsburg, I completed a Master of Science in International Business and Politics at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. I thrive in an interdisciplinary and international environment and enjoy exploring and understanding economic and political topics and problems. During my studies and in everyday life, the impact of our actions on climate change as well as possibilities to change harmful behaviors have been and still are a constant and important concern. Besides my studies and work, I enjoy hiking, cycling and cooking.

My Motivation - Why climate resilience?
Climate change can be considered the greatest challenge of our time and will most likely become even more important in the next years. The identification and implementation of appropriate policies and strategies in order to adapt to and slow down global warming is crucial for the functioning of our economies, our health systems and society in general. Therefore, I believe that addressing climate resilience and strategies to cope with climate change in my work is important and matters. That is why I want to contribute to research in this area. Climate change and environmental issues have been omnipresent throughout my studies and are also an important aspect of many decisions in my everyday life, for example in transportation or when deciding what to (not) eat and buy. I hope that the Centre for Climate Resilience can contribute to more informed decisions and the identification of effective strategies to address climate change, both in small decisions by individuals and at regional and national levels, and perhaps even globally.
