The following supplementary studies with a state examination in primary and secondary education (stex) can be studied at the University of Augsburg:

The teacher training programmes can be supplemented with:
- an additional teaching subject
- counselling teacher
- German as a second language
- foreign language qualification (English, French, Italian, Spanish)
- individual support for pupils
- media education
- performing play.
The teacher training programme for primary school education and secondary school education (Mittelschule) can be extended with:
- an additional didactic subject Protestant or Catholic religious education.
The teacher training programme for primary school education can be extended with:
- the studies of a subject group for secondary school education (Mittelschule)

Special features
The extent of studies required for each additional subject differs and is regulated in the LPO I. Furthermore, the basis for the extension is LPO UA § 22 (see the link "Exam regulations" below).

- Students of teacher training and teaching-related degree programmes at the University of Augsburg,
- Students of teacher training and teaching-related degree programmes at other universities who wish to transfer to the University of Augsburg,
- participants in post-qualification courses within the framework of special measures of the Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Cultural Affairs
on various counselling matters.
