At the Chair of Political Science, Peace and Conflict Studies, teaching and research are shaped by interdisciplinarity, a special interest in (global) social conflicts, reflective constructivism and qualitative methods in empirical research.

Interreligious Peace Education
In terms of peace as a “process of increasing justice and decreasing violence”, it is important to stand up for Christian-based justice and tolerance in multiple ways and to work actively and preventively against emerging violence. Accordingly, focal points are the promotion of the capacity for plurality through encounter and dialogue - made possible through interreligious education.
