Miriam Kunz’s research focuses on biopsychosocial mechanisms of pain processing and pain communication. ?Using experimental pain protocols, her team aims at understanding how cognitive functioning, emotions, stress, learning and sleep impact the pain response system.?Methods to assess pain responses span from subjective ratings, facial expressions, to autonomic responses (HR, EDA) and EEG.
