Call for Applications: The Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025-26 (Extended application deadline: January 22, 2025)
The fellowship supports postdoctoral research in Israel and is open to candidates who have received their PhD degrees?no earlier than November 1,?2021, in all countries except Israel. PhD candidates may apply if they complete their dissertation defence successfully?no later than June 1, 2025. All nationalities may apply, except for Israeli citizens and residents. Candidates who commenced a postdoctoral or an academic position in Israel prior to September 1, 2024, may not apply.
Fellows can pursue research in any academic discipline at eligible institutions in Israel.?
The starting date of the fellowship is October 2025, which is the beginning of the 2025–26 Israeli academic year. However, candidates are permitted to start their fellowship as early as July 31, 2025, or as late as February 1, 2026.
Candidates are required to secure an?academic sponsor?before applying.
