Research

My research focuses on understanding the interactions between ecosystems, land-use and climate. The scope of my work ranges from the kinetics of soil carbon fluxes to land-atmosphere interactions at regional to global scales. I combine theoretical and applied aspects of ecosystem carbon cycling with methods ranging from direct field observations to the analysis of remote sensing data and the development of statistical and mechanistic models.
